My passion for renovation and design has always been a constant. I’ve personally renovated 10 homes and built a custom family home from the ground up, which gave me a deep appreciation for both the technical and creative sides of building. That hands-on experience naturally led me to the world of Murphy beds and space-saving design.
Darryl and I entered the industry when we learned the original owners were ready to retire. It was a unique opportunity that aligned perfectly with our backgrounds and shared vision for helping people make better use of their living spaces.
Today, with over 20 years in the Murphy bed industry, I focus on working closely with our clients to create customized, practical solutions that truly fit their homes and lifestyles. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through fitness, working on landscaping projects, playing hockey, and continuing to take on renovation and design projects.
Hello, I’m Darryl, co-owner of Uprite Wall-Beds. I bring decades of experience in construction, design, sales, and business development. Growing up in a family construction business, I developed a strong foundation in building and an appreciation for well-designed, functional spaces early on.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of industries, including being recognized as a top sales presenter for Honda Canada and at international trade shows. I’ve also owned and operated a local fitness facility, which reflects my passion for health, performance, and entrepreneurship.
Outside of business, I’ve always pushed myself physically and competitively. I’m a multiple-time off-road motorcycle racing winner, have served on the Board of Directors for Berwick Retirement Communities, and was Vice President of the Victoria Motorcycle Club. I also spent many years playing club rugby, and staying active continues to be an important part of my life.
When the opportunity came to purchase Uprite Wall-Beds, it felt like a natural fit. It combined my background in construction with my passion for helping people create more functional, efficient living spaces.
With over 20 years in the industry, my focus today is on delivering high-quality, customized solutions that help our clients get the most out of their homes. Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, golf, fitness, healthy living, and motorcycle riding.
